Beauty Therapy

Whether you are looking to update your staff on a particular technique or are looking to train full time as a beauty therapist, we are able to offer you a range of courses to suit your needs.  Not only do we offer the full NVQ but also individual units and short courses.   

Beauty Therapy Level 2 NVQ

Topics Covered
• Manicure
• Anatomy & physiology
• Pedicure
• Eye Treatments (eyelashes & eyebrows)
• Removal & Lightening of hair (waxing)
• Facials, including face, neck and shoulder massage
• Application of make-up
• Health & Safety
• Salon reception duties
• Effective teamwork
• Develop & maintain positive working relationship

Duration: Approximately 36 weeks.

Schedule: 4 Hours per week in training centre and an expected minimum of 10 hours home study per week. A work placement would greatly enhance knowledge.

Kit: Beauty Kit & Uniform: £240.00

Beauty Therapy Level 3 NVQ

This course is equivalent to ‘A’ level standard.  This is for candidates who have previously or are currently working in Beauty Therapy or hold a current certificate at Level 2.

• Massage
• Indian Head massage
• Aromatherapy
• Facial electrical treatments
• Body electrical treatments
• Optional units include Instant Tanning, Camouflage Make Up and Nail
• Extensions

Duration: Total Duration: 36  Weeks

Schedule:
8 Hours per week in training centre. A minimum of 10 hours home study.

Kit: Level 2 basic kit will be required.

It is likely that most students aged under 19 will be encouraged to seek a work placement and follow the Modern Apprenticeship route. Please see our page for under 19s for more details.
